Scrum certification can benefit many professionals, especially those involved in project management and agile environments.

• The Scrum Master Certified (SMC) certification is appropriate for anyone interested in becoming a Scrum Master.

• The Scrum Product Owner Certified (SPOC) certification is for anyone who interfaces with stakeholders or works as a Product Owner in a Scrum Team.

To gain the Scrum Master Certified (SMC) certification, you can follow these steps:

• Book and sit the Scrum Master Certified (SMC™) course with Lumify Work - You can take this online or in-person in the Philippines. It typically lasts two days (16 hours).

• Pass the Scrum Master Exam - The proctored online exam is in multiple choice, with 100 questions that you'll need to answer in 120 minutes.

• Receive Your Certification - Once you pass the exam, you'll receive your Scrum Master certification from SCRUMStudy.

The SMC and SPOC training courses include an exam voucher to sit an online proctored exam through SCRUMstudy. Vouchers are valid for 180 days.

To maintain certification status, Scrum Master Certification and SPOC holders should renew within three calendar years of the issue date. As the Scrum/Agile field is maturing, practitioners need to be abreast of current and latest innovations in the field.

Certification can be renewed in two ways:

1. Recertification examination - a shorter Recertification exam consisting of only half the exam questions. A student can pass the Recertification exam with just a few hours of study. Passing the Recertification exam implies that the student has reviewed the latest concepts from the SBOK™ Guide.

2. SCRUMstudy certification examination - Passing any other SCRUMstudy certification exam implies that the student has reviewed the latest concepts from the SBOK Guide and fulfils the criteria for maintaining certification.

Maintaining a certification enables a student to demonstrate their commitment to continuing learning. It also demonstrates their knowledge of Scrum/Agile to employers, peers and colleagues.
