TOGAF EA - Foundation delivered by EA Learning is a course accredited by The Open Group. Lumify Work promotes this course for EA Learning.
By completing this two-day course with EA Learning, you will benefit from the quantum leap The Open Group has made with TOGAF Standard, 10th Edition (released October 2022) since Version 9.2 (released in 2018). Much has evolved in business, technology, and general EA practice, and this substantial release crosses the chasm and integrates universal concepts, best practices, and thought leadership. The next generation TOGAF Standard, 10th Edition is your pathway to create value through the discipline of enterprise architecture. In today’s disruptive world, learn the concepts required to design an enterprise that is responsive to change, value driven, resilient, and empowers autonomous teams.
The course presenters, who are themselves highly experienced practitioners, add valuable insights during classes and can pass-on their practical wisdom.
The significant themes for the TOGAF Standard, 10th Edition
The TOGAF standard, 10th Edition is a paradigm shift from 9.2 integrating universal concepts, proven best practices, and emerging ideas.
From Monolith to Micro Services
As part of The Open Group’s evolution ‘from universal to unique’ the one monolithic document 9.2 has become six separate documents known as the Fundamental Content (the universal concepts). Also included are 20 series guides, which will grow over time, for specialist content (best practice). This speaks to specific types of architecture, for example Applying the TOGAF ADM using Agile Sprints or Integrating Risk and Security within a TOGAF Architecture. Finally, the introduction of bodies of knowledge (BOK) for different learning outcomes including Enterprise Architecture, Business Architecture, Specialist, Leader. It is noted that more will follow to enable differing learning pathways.
Easier Adoption
An online digital standard has been introduced with a much-simplified navigation. This paves the way for easier adoption. As each enterprise is unique, the specialist guidance may or may not apply. For example, you may be undergoing a significant digital transformation but not be using Agile. Use the distinct hierarchy of content that fits with your unique enterprise.
Extended Guidance for Practitioners, Leaders, and Specialists
The companion guides talk to the various roles within Enterprise Architecture. How do I set up an EA Practice? How do I apply Business Architecture? What reference models should I use? What security architecture should I apply? The Whole Enterprise Approach is the sum of its equal parts.
Learning Pathways
Several learning pathways exist that focus on a group of learners and their respective skills set. Micro credentials can be earned in line with career progression including Foundation, Practitioner, Specialist and other credentials such as Leader, Agile Specialist, Digital Specialist.
Examination
At the end of the training, you will be prepared to sit your certification exam. Your exam voucher will be distributed at the completion of your course; you can then make an appointment for your exam with Pearson VUE. Exam vouchers are valid for 12 months.
Note: Attendees of TOGAF EA - Foundation are only eligible to receive the exam voucher for the TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Foundation exam. If you wish to receive the TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Practitioner exam voucher, you must complete the TOGAF EA - Foundation and Practitioner course.
