Why study this course

Power BI is an industry leader and one of the largest and fastest-growing business intelligence cloud solutions, used by over 35,000 companies worldwide.

Power BI is a suite of Microsoft tools used for business analytics, visualisation, and reporting, forming part of the broader Power Platform ecosystem. Power BI delivers supported decision-making through actionable insights, empowering users to conduct thorough data analytics and data analysis. It provides interactive reporting and business intelligence capabilities, allowing users to easily connect to, model, and visualise organisational and public data. This capability enables users to create compelling data visualisations that facilitate informed decision-making based on organisational and public data, thereby enabling the creation of robust data models for informed decision-making.

Key components of the Power BI suite include Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power BI Mobile Apps, and Power BI Gateway, among others.

Power BI training is designed to give participants a fundamental understanding of the tools. Participants will learn how to use the Power BI tools by following a simple workflow that can be used to design, develop, deploy, and share Power BI reports and dashboards. Microsoft Power BI courses, such as this course from Lumify Work, help you learn how to use these tools effectively and efficiently.

The Microsoft Power BI fundamentals course is an entry-level workshop for professionals in New Zealand. If you are looking for a more in-depth technical course on advanced Power BI, see our Microsoft PL-300T00 Power BI Data Analyst course.

Important note: Power BI is a Microsoft App that is not currently supported on non-Windows systems (such as Apple Mac).
