The IASSC Certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt™ (ICYB™) is for professionals who are wanting to have a thorough understanding of the elementary aspects of the Lean Six Sigma Method including competency in the phases of Define, Measure, and Control (DMC) as provided by the IASSC Lean Six Sigma Body of Knowledge™.

The Lean Six Sigma (LSS) certifications are designed to support organisations in their mission to improve customer satisfaction, boost performance levels, and shorten the time-to-market. Professionals and consultants will benefit from LSS's potential for cross-industry application and increased salary.

Holding a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt shows an understanding of how to implement, perform, interpret, and apply Lean Six Sigma at a fundamental level.

Examination

This course pricing includes a voucher for the IASSC Certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Exam, which is an online proctored exam through PeopleCert.

The exam is:

  • Two hours (120 minutes) duration

  • 60 questions (multiple choice and true or false)

  • Pass mark is 42 out of 60 (i.e. 70%)

  • Closed book

After passing the exam, each student’s certificate will be made available to them via PeopleCert.

It is highly recommended that you spend some time each evening of this course reviewing and consolidating what you’ve learned, to be well prepared for the exam.

What you’ll learn

After completing this course, you will have learned how to:

  • Structure a DMAIC process improvement project

  • Define a problem, investigate its impact on the customer, and identify the process within which it exists

  • Identify the elements of Cost of Poor quality and waste in a process and measure project financial and operational benefits

  • Structure and assess a measurement system and identify the appropriate metrics to support quantitative process improvement efforts

  • Understand root cause analysis and value analysis methods

  • Describe a process using different process mapping strategies

Candidates can schedule their exam for any time within the voucher validity period of 12 months, to be taken anywhere, on any Windows or Mac computer.
