This CompTIA A+ Intensive Course is a 5-day intensive program covering both Core 1 and Core 2 content. Students will be required to self-study content not covered during the 5-day Intensive Course in their own time.

CompTIA's A+ certification is the industry standard for validating the foundational skills needed by today's computer support technicians and is included in the approved list of certifications to meet DoD Directive 8570.1 requirements.

This international vendor-neutral certification requires passing two exams:

CompTIA A+ Exam 220-1101
CompTIA A+ Exam 220-1102

What you’ll learn

The CompTIA A+ Core 1 (220-1101) and Core 2 (220-1102) certification exams will verify the successful candidate has the knowledge and skills required to:

This course is also designed for those who are seeking the CompTIA A+ certification and who want to prepare for the CompTIA A+ Core 1 220-1101 and Core 2 220-1102 Certification Exams.

Course subjects

CompTIA A+ 220-1101 covers mobile devices, networking technology, hardware, virtualisation and cloud computing, and network troubleshooting.

CompTIA A+ 220-1102 covers installing and configuring operating systems, expanded security, software troubleshooting, and operational procedures.

Prerequisites

To maximise your success in this course, you should have experience with basic computer user skills, be able to complete tasks in a Microsoft Windows environment, be able to search for, browse, and access information on the Internet, and have basic knowledge of computing concepts. You can obtain this level of skills and knowledge by taking the CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+) course and sitting the official exam (FC0-U61).
