ITIL® Master is the highest level of achievement in the ITIL 4 certification scheme. This designation validates that you have mastered the full suite of ITIL competencies, and recognises the universal and diverse knowledge developed during your ITIL training and certification journey.
Overview
To be awarded ITIL Master, a candidate must have achieved all three ITIL intermediate designations and passed all exams. By combining the MP, SL, and PM designations, the ITIL 4 Master demonstrates the capability to apply the principles, concepts, methods, and techniques from ITIL in the workplace at strategic, tactical, and operational levels.
Key benefits include:
Distinguish yourself from your peers - in 2020 there were only 100 people worldwide with ITIL v3 Master status (source: Axelos)
Demonstrate your well-rounded, superior knowledge of ITIL best practice
Prove your extensive 'hands-on' ITIL experience and demonstrate active involvement in ITIL implementation
The path to achieving ITIL 4 Master includes multiple exams which assess your ability to understand, apply, and analyse many ITSM concepts, methods, and tools. This includes assessment on all four of the Managing Professional modules, a case-based assessment on Digital and IT Strategy as part of the Strategic Leader designation, and detailed study of at least five management practices or at least one of the specialist Practice Manager tracks.
The ITIL 4 Master is the pinnacle of a long and demanding journey but a rewarding and valuable experience for anyone who achieves it.
