In the age of a diverse workforce and new generations progressing through the ranks, it has become apparent that traditional feedback methods are becoming obsolete and ineffective. In this session, we explore the biology attributing to this. We share the ways that work in recognising and continuing high performance to create a flourishing culture. We explore how our innate need for acknowledgement drives our behaviour and a way to recognise people that adds value.
We share a variety of techniques such as tokens of appreciation, to encourage behaviour we want to see continue as well as exploring the methodology of attribution theory. Participants will learn new linguistic patters, which they can use to influence others, have a positive impact on the recipient and avoid feedback sounding threatening.
Participants will become confident and well equipped to deliver feedback in a way that will acknowledge the good performance of their people as well as motivate their employees to improve. They will walk away with usable tools to apply in giving feedback and achieving results.
This course is appealing to aspiring, emerging and current leaders, business owners, salespeople, volunteers and teammates who want to build a culture of open feedback and communication. There is an optional qualification upgrade available.
This course is often delivered in two half-days instead of one full day.
