FAQs
What is an ITIL certification course?
ITIL is the pre-eminent framework for managing IT service delivery globally. ITIL is a service lifecycle model that prescribes processes during the design, development, delivery, and support of IT services. Businesses that adopt the ITIL framework ensure their services are delivered to a high standard.
An ITIL certification training course is a qualification in the field of IT service management. ITIL Foundation is the entry-level certification, followed by one or more intermediate designations (Practice Manager, Managing Professional, Strategic Leader), and culminating in ITIL Master. These certifications and designations guide professionals through the intricacies of the IT service value chain, emphasising the importance of the ITIL service value system.
How do I get ITIL certified?
You can become ITIL certified by taking ITIL training courses from accredited training organisations like Lumify Work then sitting and passing the relevant exams. All of our accredited ITIL courses, from Foundation and beyond, include an exam voucher.
How long does ITIL certification take?
The time it takes to gain certifications vary on the level and designation. Intermediate designations include several courses. How long it takes to get certified also depends on one's time commitment and preparedness for the ITIL exam.
For example, the ITIL Foundation course takes place with an instructor over three days. At the end of the course, you can sit the exam immediately or take a few weeks to review and then sit the one-hour exam.
