The brand new Microsoft Tech Summit is in Sydney this week and DDLS will be there in the thick of it. The Summit replaces the Australian Partner Conference and TechEd, bringing partners and customers together. DDLS is at this event in force as a silver sponsor, with a stand laden with giveaways, prizes, and a number of DDLS team members. In fact, we have the State Managers from NSW, WA and ACT attending, while VIC, QLD and SA are expertly represented by our Director of Sales. If there is one thing we love at DDLS, it's talking to people, to understand their businesses and how training can be an enabler and overall morale booster.

Please look out for Jacquie Silverthorne (NSW), Julianne Sparke (WA), Maureen Thomas (ACT), Mike Devitt (Director of Sales), and on the technical days, Chris Austin (Director of Training). Let the folks on the DDLS stand know if you want to schedule an appointment with any of them.

We think you'll hear a lot about Azure, Windows and Office 365, and maybe even IoT and Passive Web Apps. There is even a session on BlockChain. Team DDLS will be live-tweeting what we hear, so please follow us at @DDLSTraining to hear our take.

But wait, there's more….

Awesome technology is great – who doesn't get excited by an augmented reality headset? – but it's just that, technology. Unless, that is, you have the user enablement, tools, processes and change management in place to ensure the users benefit from the technology rather than falling in to a “chasm of despair”.

On the DDLS stand you'll also find Louisa Leung, our Head of Process and Consulting. Please challenge her to tell you how to avoid the “chasm of despair’ and also why Agile, ITIL, Change Management and beyond are critical to your future and that of your business.
