2014 has started well for senior DDLS Microsoft technical trainer Wayne McGlinn. Based out of the DDLS Brisbane training centre, Wayne was recognised by Microsoft and awarded the MVP , or Most Valued Professional status for Windows Expert/IT Pro.

Wayne the MVP

MVPs represent the best and brightest in technical communities, generously sharing their deep knowledge and hands-on expertise with people around the world.

Wayne’s willingness to help others make the most of their technology investment is far reaching, both inside and outside of the classroom. He was recently appointed as a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) regional lead for Australia, providing a conduit for the Microsoft technical trainer community from across Australia into Microsoft Learning, one of only five in Australia.

In addition to representing Microsoft Certified Trainers, Wayne also puts in the hours supporting the wider community. For Wayne, this can be exam workshops, proctoring exams or presenting at Microsoft events such as TechEd and TechReady. He readily shares his expertise outside of the classroom via seminar and social media. Microsoft recognised his capabilities early on, in 2008 he was invited by Microsoft to attend the Microsoft Certified Masters – Active Directory Beta course held on the Microsoft Redmond Campus.

“It is fantastic for DDLS to have one of its senior trainers nominated, recognised and rewarded by Microsoft – Wayne brings terrific value to the classroom as well as the wider, global community. We are delighted for Wayne and very proud of his achievements – MVP status is hard to achieve. Especially when you consider that of the 100 million plus Microsoft social and technical community members globally, only about 3,800 are recognised and awarded MVP status each year. On his behalf, we thank Microsoft for recognising that hard work.” said Mal Shaw, CEO of DDLS.

Wayne specialises in technical Microsoft training, especially, Windows Server and System Centre. He can be found sharing his expertise most weeks in the DDLS Brisbane training centre.
