Sydney, Australia — 1st June 2016 — Australian Microsoft Gold Learning Partner, DDLS, today announced it has won the 2016 Microsoft Learning Partner Award. The training company was honoured to be selected among a global field of more than 2,500 entrants from 119 countries worldwide. DDLS was recognised for providing outstanding solutions and services for learning solutions.
The Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards recognise Microsoft partners that have developed and delivered exceptional Microsoft-based solutions during the past year. The Learning Partner of the Year Award is designed to recognise the global partner who has demonstrated excellence in the design and delivery of a high impact training solution.
As the leading IT training organisation in Australia, DDLS plays a critical role in enabling the evolution of skills in the Australian IT community. Employing the country’s largest community of Microsoft Certified trainers, DDLS provides a 360-degree learning view of the Microsoft technology stack and is able to advise on and deliver highly relevant training and certification.
Gary Duffield, Director of Strategic Alliances for DDLS, commented, “This is a huge achievement for DDLS. To be recognised on the world stage for delivering a world class training solution is testament to the hard work of our team and the designing, building and delivery that went into our solution. The DDLS entry involved a project for a Government Department that required expertise in building custom solutions that incorporated a post course assessment and required our Microsoft Certified Trainers to deliver the solution, often in tough conditions on client sites away from their home and families. We’ve had trainers up in Darwin, down in Perth and all points in-between. We have had to work out new ways to deliver content and new ways to access the labs. It’s a great achievement.”
Microsoft Australia Managing Director, Pip Marlow, commented, “These awards represent the best and brightest of our partners on a global stage who are working every day to help transform Australian businesses with Microsoft technology. Congratulations to all of the winners this year for this incredible achievement. It’s great to see such powerful examples of innovative excellence in our partner community.”
DDLS Senior Leadership team members Chris Austin, Mike Devitt and Gary Duffield will be attending the Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC) in Toronto in July to collect the award.
